Josh Bergesen Bio

Born and raised in Seattle, WA, Josh's art education began at the age of nine with classic training in oil painting from the Leona Ritter School of Art, and continued through high school with graphic design and silk screening. Josh attended the Art Institute of Seattle, majoring in computer animation, but found his artistic path taking a major turn with his first exposure to lampworked glass art at Stone Way Glass Studio, leaving his head spinning with ideas and possibilities. In 2001, after moving to Jacksonville Beach, FL, Josh began his apprenticeship and studio business as a founding member of Lucid Visions Glass Art. The next five years were spent in partnership building a gallery and client list while designing and maintaining an evolving production line of lampworked glass art. Josh has continued to educate himself in lampworked glass by attending workshops held by Robert Mickelsen and Steve Sizelove. In addition, Josh is passing on his knowledge of glass art to fellow artists through introductory and advanced workshops in lampworking at his studio. Josh enjoys working on local community projects, donating his time to glass art projects for The Otis Smith Foundation, Art with a Heart for Children, Jacksonville Children's Commission and The Jacksonville Humane Society.


Lance Sanford Bio

Born into a military family in Pensacola, Fl, Lance was raised across the United States. At a young age he showed a natural talent for drawing which he fostered through the years. It was no surprise when in 1995 he enrolled at the Art Institute of Seattle in illustrative art. What he did not foresee was the drastic change his art would take when he visited Stone Way Glass in Seattle, WA. Upon arriving at the flameworking studio, Lance knew he had found his passion in art. He took a leap of faith, committing to a six month apprenticeship under Michael Baulfour in 1997 with a medium he had never touched before, and has never looked back. Nearly 10 years later, Lance finds himself back in Florida living his dream. A founding member of Lucid Visions Glass Art, Lance works with business partner and college friend, Josh Bergesen. The studio has been creating fun and unique glass art for galleries across the U.S. since 2001. Lance has continued to educate himself in the glass medium by attending workshops held by Robert Mickelsen and Steve Sizelove. In addition, Lance is passing on his knowledge of glass art to fellow artists through introductory and advanced workshops in lampworking at his studio in Jacksonville Beach, FL. Lance enjoys working with his local community and has donated his time to glass projects for The Otis Smith Foundation, Art with a Heart for Children, Jacksonville Children's Commission and The Jacksonville Humane Society.
