Infinity is by Italian Murano Glass sculptor, Oscar Zanetti--one of an elite few to achieve Maestro stature. Infinity is a striking departure from his signature, animal kingdom-inspired glass menagerie in several ways. First and foremost, Infinity is abstract art, exploring such themes as positive/negative space and amorphous, yet sensuous shapes. Oscar Zanetti has made this Infinity sculpture in the calcedonio style. There are rich tones of brown with blue veins throughout the piece. There are only a handful of glass artists in the world (and they are primarily from Murano) who have mastered the calcedonio style of glassmaking. Imperfect and asymmetrical by design, the outer edges of this glass sculpture suggest something different to each, admiring viewer--perhaps the furthest reaches of our own universe. Each piece is an original, signed by the Maestro.
